Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Bach.ai — operated by Wittelsbach Private Limited — uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.wittelsbach.ai. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. “Similar technologies” include browser storage such as localStorage and sessionStorage. We use both sparingly, and we group them into essential (needed to run the site and remember your choices) and analytics (optional, and loaded only if you agree).
2. Your choice comes first
When analytics are enabled, your first visit shows a banner asking you to Accept or Decline analytics cookies. Analytics tools load only after you accept. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Privacy-friendly, cookieless traffic measurement (see the table) may still run, because it stores nothing on your device and is designed not to identify individual visitors.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we use
We enable the analytics tools below only when they are configured, and the consent-gated ones load solely after you accept:
| Name / tool | Type | Purpose | Needs consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
wb_cookie_consent | Essential (localStorage) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies, so we don’t ask again. | No |
wb_utm | Functional (sessionStorage) | Remembers the campaign link you arrived from for the current session so sign-up attribution is accurate. First-party and session-only; stores no cross-site identifier. | No |
| Cloudflare Web Analytics | Analytics (cookieless) | Privacy-friendly, aggregate traffic measurement. Sets no cookies and is designed not to identify individual visitors. | No |
| Google Analytics 4 | Analytics | Understands how visitors use the site so we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised. | Yes |
| Microsoft Clarity | Analytics | Session-replay and interaction analytics (heatmaps and anonymised session recordings) to find and fix usability problems. | Yes |
The marketing site does not run a Meta Pixel or other advertising trackers.
4. Changing your choice or removing cookies
- Change your consent: clear this site’s browser storage (in your browser settings, under “cookies and site data” for www.wittelsbach.ai) and reload — the Accept/Decline banner will appear again.
- Block or delete cookies: every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings. Doing so is safe here, though your consent choice will be forgotten and we’ll ask again.
5. Third-party tools
The analytics tools above are provided by third parties who process data on our behalf under contract. Their own handling of data is governed by their policies; we enable only the privacy-protective settings described here (for example, IP anonymisation in Google Analytics).
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or the tools we use change. The current version is always on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
