This Data Retention Policy explains how Wittelsbach AI (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, stores, retains, and deletes personal and business data across the Wittelsbach AI platform and website (https://www.wittelsbach.ai).

3. Retention periods


Data Type - Retention Period

  • Account Information - Stored while the account is active

  • Platform & Funnel Analytics Data - Stored for up to 24 months after last activity

  • Connected Ad & Store Data - Deleted within 90 days after account termination

  • Support Communications - Stored for up to 18 months

  • Billing & Financial Records - Stored for 7 years as required by law

  • System Logs - Stored for up to 12 months
     

4. Deletion of inactive accounts


An account is considered inactive if there is no login activity for 12 consecutive months.
 

For inactive accounts:

  • A reminder email will be sent before deletion

  • If no response is received, the account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
     

5. User-initiated data deletion


You may request full account deletion at any time by emailing:

Upon verification:

  • Your account will be deactivated immediately

  • All personal and platform-linked data will be deleted within 30 days, except legally required financial records
     

6. Backup retention
 

  • Encrypted backups are stored for disaster recovery

  • Backups are retained for up to 60 days

  • Deleted user data may persist in backups until the next backup purge cycle
     

7. Legal and regulatory retention
 

Some data must be retained longer due to:

  • Tax and accounting laws

  • Legal disputes

  • Fraud prevention

  • Regulatory compliance
     

Such data is isolated, access-restricted, and never used for product analytics or marketing.
 

8. Security during retention
 

All retained data is protected by:

  • Encrypted storage

  • Role-based access control

  • Activity logging

  • Regular security audits
     

9. Data destruction methods
 

When data reaches end-of-life:

  • Digital records are permanently deleted using industry-standard erasure methods

  • Physical or offline records, if any, are destroyed securely
